UPDATE - Memorial Services for Albert C. "Al" Thomas will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel, Plattsmouth, NE with Deacon Brian Thomas officiating.

(Due to COVID-19, State Guidelines and Social Distancing will be followed).

Albert C. “Al” Thomas age 86 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away peacefully at his home in Plattsmouth surrounded by family on Monday, May 11, 2020.  He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 1, 1934 to Albert O. and Leona W. (Granell) Thomas.

Albert was raised in Omaha and graduated from Omaha South High School with the class of 1952.  He had a 37 year career with Western Electric Company in Omaha as a Machinist.  He was united in marriage to Norma J. Thieking on August 1, 1982 in Omaha.  They eventually made their home in rural Plattsmouth.  He enjoyed reading, gardening and cars.

Survived by wife, Norma Thomas, Plattsmouth, daughter, LeeAnn (Larry) Renshaw, Omaha, son, Brian (Pat) Thomas, Papillion, stepdaughter, Debbie (Jay) Erichsen, Phoenix, AZ, stepson, Gary (Cathy) Marcotte, Plattsmouth, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and faithful dog, Hatty.

He was preceded in death by parents, Albert O & Leona Thomas, brothers, Lyle & Kenneth Thomas, and son, Kristian Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at later date when state guidelines for gathering are less restrictive.

He will be buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
