Our bright and sunny Amy Lynn Churchill, age 41 of Nehawka lost her courageous battle with breast cancer on July 16, 2024. Born on June 17, 1983, the cherished daughter of Tyrone "Ty" Richard Crile and Constance M. Crawford in Omaha, NE. Amy brought light and joy to everyone around her, living with unwavering positivity and love throughout her life and especially during her nearly seven-year fight with cancer.
Amy grew up in Omaha, NE, and graduated from Burke High School in 2001. On February 3, 2007, she married her soulmate, Adam Michael Churchill, in Omaha, NE. Together, they built a beautiful life in Nehawka, NE, where Amy devoted herself to being a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Adam; their three precious daughters, Avenly Marie, Josilyn, and Lillian; her parents, Ty Crile and Connie Crawford; her sister, Alyssa Crowe; and her half-brother, Brice (Courtney) Thies. Amy is also survived by her in-laws, Ed and Eileen Churchill, Tara Churchill, Matt (Sara) Churchill, and Scott (Kristy) Churchill, as well as aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her beloved dog, Connor.
A stay-at-home mom who was lovingly referred to as a "Princess," Amy was deeply involved in her community. She was a dedicated member of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Elkhorn and actively participated in blood drives for the local blood bank. Amy's passions included volunteering, hosting gatherings, cooking, and enjoying nature and gardening.
A celebration of Amy’s life will be held at the Expo Building at Cass County Fairgrounds on July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a luncheon. All who knew and loved Amy are welcome to attend. In honor of Amy's vibrant spirit, attendees are encouraged to wear shirts she designed or her favorite colors, blue and green. Following the luncheon, her family will escort her to her final resting place.
Memorials may be directed to the family for Amy’s girls’ education fund.
