Angela Lea Swanson age 49 of Omaha, Nebraska was born on December 12, 1970 in Mobile, Alabama to Gary W and Sandra M. (McDonald) Jackson. She passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at her home in Omaha, Nebraska.
Angela was raised in Fairhope, Alabama where she graduated from Fairhope High School in 1989. After graduation, she attended Springhill College where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. From her first marriage to Bobby Erwin, she was blessed with a son, Joseph Grant Erwin, who she loved dearly. She was active in Grant’s activities as he grew up, assisting with his swim team and Naval Sea Cadets. She met Erik Swanson and the two were later married on September 29, 2012 at the Coryell Chapel near Brock, Nebraska. Together they made their home in Omaha, Nebraska along with their six cats.
She most recently worked for Sapp Brothers in Omaha, Nebraska as a Human Resources Administrative Assistant. Angela was a remarkable artist and a talented writer. She used both those talents to write and illustrate two children’s books, “Jumpin’ Jubilee” and “Crabby”. She also enjoyed painting, crafting, sewing, quilting and collecting hippos.
She is survived by her husband, Erik Swanson of Omaha, NE, son, Joseph Grant Erwin (fiancé Christiana Boykin) of Mobile, AL, parents, Gary & Sandra Jackson of Fairhope, AL, sister, Shelly (Keith) Richardson of Birmingham, AL, niece & nephew, Jenna & Hayes Richardson of Birmingham, AL, parents-in-law, Frank & Joyce Swanson of Union, NE, sister-in-law, Nicole (Michael) Wagner of Gretna, NE. She is also survived by many other family and friends.
A Private Family Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. The public may view the service at https://www.facebook.com/Brian-P-Harvey-Funeral-Home-711078285579956/
Public Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE (State Guidelines/Social Distancing will be followed).
Interment will be on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 2:30 PM at the Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, NE.
