Barbara Jean Gochenour, 95, of Plattsmouth NE, peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 10, 2022, at the Madison Lutheran Home in Madison, MN.

She was born to Lester and Beulah Gansemer on April 5, 1927, in Nehawka, NE.  Barb graduated from Murray High School in 1945.

After graduation, Barb married the late Robert Krejci, and together they saw the world courtesy of the United States Air Force.  In addition to numerous postings in the United States they also had the opportunity to live in Great Britain and Taiwan.  During their marriage, Bob and Barb were blessed with four children – David, Robert, Sheri, and Penny.

In 1983 Barb was remarried to William Gochenour.  Together they lived in Plattsmouth NE and she worked at The First National Bank for several years.

Being a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was a role that gave Barb much pride and joy.  Family came first and was above all else to her, a value she instilled in all those around her. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents Lester and Beulah Gansemer, her three sisters Patricia, LaVon and Shirley, her husband Bill Gochenour, her daughter Penny O’Dea, her son-in-law Keith Hansen, and her grandson Kevin Hansen. She is survived by her brother Howard Gansemer, and her three children David, Robert, and Sheri, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service for Barbara at 2 p.m. on June 2, 2023 at the Brian Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.  Barbara will be laid to rest in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Sanford Hospice Care at 213 South Olaf Avenue, Canby , MN 56220 .

Mom, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you.  We love you so much. Rest in peace.
