Barbara Jean Hamilton

Barbara Jean Crispin was born October 22, 1949, in Geneva, Illinois to John and Lucille Wheelock Crispin. She was one of six children. Barbara graduated in 1967 from Chrisman High School in Chrisman, Illinois. She also attended Scotland High School in Scotland, IL in the same year.

After graduation, she married Michael Glithero on November 9, 1969. To this union were born 2 sons, John Michael, and Christian St. John. She and Michael later divorced, although they remained close until his death in 2014.

She later married Kenneth “Buford” Hamilton on August 30, 1986. They were together 34 years, until his death on November 12, 2011.

She is survived by her children, John Glithero, Christian (Shelly) Gilthero, Todd Gilpatrick and Chad Hamilton, grandchildren, Aaron (Catie) Hamilton, Alicia (Nathan) Shank, Anna Glithero, Jonathan Glithero, Amanda Thumann, Michaela Glithero, Jesscia Quatman, Robert Quatman, Hayley Gilpatrick and Dalton Gilpatrick, great grandchildren, Jude Shank and Axel Javins, sister, Rebecca (Chuck) Crispin and sister-in-law, Sandy Hamilton.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of Plattsmouth friends who were her family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth “Buford” Hamilton, son Jason Hamilton, ex-husband, Michael Glithero, and brothers, Donald, Sheldon, Dennis, and Michael, nephew Scott Alan Jones.

A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 12:00 PM at DC’s Waterhole, 441 Main Street, Plattsmouth, Ne.
