Barbara L Snodgrass-Walton

Barbara L. Snodgrass-Walton, age 77 was born Feb. 18, 1942, to Harold A. and Rosenda E. (Buhrman) Williams in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.  She passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE.

Barb was united in marriage On June 27, 1959 to Roger D. “Rusty” Snodgrass at St. John’s Catholic Church in Plattsmouth.  She and Rusty celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to his death in 2009.  While they were married, they owned and operated Rusty’s Bar in downtown Plattsmouth.  After she sold the bar, Barb worked as a Nurse’s Tech at St. Joseph Villa in Omaha, until retiring.

In October of 2011, Barb was united in marriage to longtime friend, Leroy Walton in Montana.   Barb was a member of Eagles Club and VFW Aux in Plattsmouth.  She loved her schnauzer dogs, shopping, reading, cooking, boating and cruising the world.

Barb is survived by her husband: Leroy Walton of Plattsmouth, NE, children:  Leanne (Mike) Ortega of Belen, NM, Roger Walton, Ronda Blevins both of Houston, TX; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo (James) Keisner of Blair; brothers Hal (MaryAnn) Williams and Dennis James (Carolyn) Williams both of Spokane, WA, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Roger “Rusty” Snodgrass, parents, Harold & Rosenda Williams, brother, Wayne Williams, sister, Carole Ann Williams.
