Barbara E Valenti

  Barbara Elaine Valenti age 61 of Plattsmouth was born on December 12, 1955 in Omaha, NE to Roy S. and Viola “Mitzie” V. (Crawford) Valenti.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.   Barbara graduated from Thurston High School in Springfield, Oregon.  After moving to Plattsmouth, she began working at the Pamida Store on Main Street, which later was purchased by Shopko Hometown.  She ended her career after more than 37 years as a Receiving Specialist.    She cared deeply for her family and looked out for them throughout the years.  She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed sharing her talent with friends and family especially at Christmas time.  She enjoyed watching Christmas moviesall year round, reading People Magazine and playing Keno.   Barb is survived by her brothers, Carl Valenti of Rockton, IL, Larry Valenti of Merced, CA, sisters, Judy Valenti of Plattsmouth, NE; Sue Ann Valenti of Plattsmouth, NE; Aunt Rose Bronson of Missouri, cousins, Oscar & Linda Bronson, Anna & LeRoy Voorhees, Bobby & Susan Bronson and Susan and Doug Ball.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her  parents, Roy & Viola Valenti, brother, Mike Valenti, cousins, John Bronson, Linda Lair and Richard Bronson.   Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Living Water Church in Plattsmouth, NE with Dr. Allan Wooters officiating.    At Barb’s request, there will be no visitation or viewing.   Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska.   Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.   Arrangements By:  Brian P.
