Bobby L Embury I

Bobby Embury I of Plattsmouth died Thursday February 7 at the age of 78. Bobby Leah Embury I was born February 10th 1934, at Plattsmouth, NE, the son of Earl and Mildred (Allen) Embury. He grew up in Plattsmouth, attended Plattsmouth High School and Finlay Engineering College. Bob married Barbara Yenney on February 5, 1956 in Plattsmouth. Following their marriage the couple lived in Wichita for a few years but spent over 50 years living in Plattsmouth. Bob was a caring compassionate husband, father and grandfather. He was always extremely proud of his children's accomplishments and his grandchildren. Bob was a mechanical engineer and worked at Offutt Air Force base for over 30 years. Along with Barbara, Bob owned and operated the Dog and Suds restaurant in Plattsmouth. He could also be found in his garage where he started hundreds of projects and was known to tinker away the hours. He is survived by three children: Bobby Embury II and his wife Diane of Plattsmouth, Michael Embury and his wife Linda of Omaha and Linda Ruden and her husband Philip of Omaha. Eight grandchildren Joel Embury, Luke Embury, Kaitlyn Embury, Alexander Ruden, Lauren Ruden, Kristin Embury, Ellen Ruden and Eric Ruden; brother in law: Walter Yenney and his wife Mary of Plattsmouth, Sister in law Una Yenney of Omaha and close family friend Marijean VanDenack of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara; his son: Ernest Earl; and his parents Earl and Mildred Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Murray Christian Church in Murray, NE with Rev. Larry Hammons officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Masonic Service at 5:30 P.M. followed by family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Weeping Water, Nebraska The family has directed memorials to the Nebraska Masonic Home. Arrangements by Brian P.
