Bonnie Jo Glenn

Bonnie Jo Glenn was born on September 8, 1952 in Forest City, Iowa to Harold and Esther (Brouer) Rapp. She passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 while visiting her mother in Garner, Iowa at the age of 62 years, 10 months 26 days. After graduating from High School, Bonnie attended the Immanuel School of Nursing where she earned her nursing degree. She spent 26 years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, working most recently at Creighton Hospital in Omaha. She was also a preceptor, helping incoming nurses learn about procedures on the labor and delivery floor. She was united in marriage to James L. Glenn on August 14, 1971 in Mason City, Iowa and together they raised four children, Lance, Josh, Amanda and Betsy. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Many hours where spent making clothing for children and dolls, many of these items were given to new mother’s within her First Baptist Church family. She also made blankets that were given to newborn babies at the hospital where she worked. Aside from sewing, she enjoyed scrapbooking and photography. Bonnie is survived by her Husband, James Glenn of Plattsmouth, NE; Children, Lance & Lindy Glenn of Council Bluffs, IA; Josh & Leah Glenn of Plattsmouth, NE; Amanda & Joe Strange of Alexandria, KY, Betsy & Matt Schellen of Valley, NE. 11 Grandchildren, Hailie, Parker, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Grace, Cooper, Bryar, Madalyn, Mattix, Noah. Mother, Esther Rapp of Garner, IA; Sisters, Joyce Schuler of Prescott, AZ, Judy Austin of Mason City, IA, Brothers, Gary Rapp of Phoenix, AZ, Donnie Rapp of Garner, IA, Jim Rapp of Garner, IA, Johnny Rapp of Garner, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Rapp, brother, Duane, sisters, Pat & Jeanie. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Joseph Wicks officiating. Visitation will be held two (2) hours before services at the Church. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Rural Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Memorials may be directed to the Bonnie Glenn family.
