Carl V. Glup was born in Omaha, NE to Ernest and Molly (Spaustat) Glup on February 10, 1927 and passed away at the Bellevue Medical Center on June 25, 2014. He grew up in a large family and went to work early in his life. On March 27, 1947 he married his love Delphine Hooker.
Carl worked as a foreman for O’Niell Pack Company in Omaha for many years before opening and operating Cardel & Sons Freezer Meats in Plattsmouth. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Plattsmouth and was a Golden Eagle at F.O.E. # 365. Carl enjoyed the outdoors and would spend time fishing, pheasant hunting, gardening and mowing his lawn. He loved to bowl, vacation and spend time watching his children and later in life his grandchildren participating in their many activities.
Carl is survived by his wife of 67 years Delphine – Plattsmouth, sons Carl and Linda Glup of Plattsmouth, NE, Terry Glup of Ashland, NE, Rod Glup of Plattsmouth, NE, Whitey & Leslie Glup of Plattsmouth, NE, Lanny & Lori Glup of Plattsmouth; 18 Grandchildren: Matt & Megan Glup, Aaron & Sara Glup, Niki & John Campin, Carly & Dusty Koppit, Johna & Marcel Robinson, Molly Bouchard, Toni & Mark Santee, Tiffany & Paul Wonsack, Trevor Glup and fiancé Liz VanWassenhoven, Trista & Tyler Pariseau, Bruce & Jenni Glup, Jensen Glup, Susie And Randy Fredericks, Amanda & Phil Cusic, Nathan & Brittani Glup, Norrisa Richardson, Nolan Glup, Andrea Baker; 33 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Anna Mae & Phil Protaskey of Bellevue, NE. and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Molly Glup, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 2014 from 1 until 9 PM with family greeting friends 6 – 8 PM at the Harvey Funeral Home Plattsmouth, NE.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at First Lutheran Church – 1025 Ave. “D” Plattsmouth, NE. with Rev. Lloyd Stuhr officiating.
