Carolyn R Jensen

Carolyn R. Jensen age 71 of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 surrounded by family at her home in Council Bluffs.  She was born on April 6, 1946 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Ray Lenis and Mary Emma (Grauf) Campbell. Carolyn was raised and attended school in the Plattsmouth area.  She worked for many years for ConAgra Foods in Omaha, Nebraska as a Cart Machine Operator.  Carolyn raised three daughters, Catherine, Kathaleen and Michelle.  She met James C. Jensen many years later and the two were married on November 25, 1994 in Council Bluffs.  Carolyn loved spending time with her family, attending activities for her children when they were younger and most recently watching her 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren grow.  She enjoyed working in her flower garden, collecting candles and going for a ride in the truck with James to look at wildlife. She is survived by her husband: James Jensen of Council Bluffs, IA;  Children:  Catherine Ensor (John Cole) of Plattsmouth, Kathaleen Williams (Lewis Klein) of Union, Michelle Jordan of Omaha; Step-Son :  Michael Jensen of Crookston, MN;  11 Grandchildren;  16 Great Grandchildren;   Sisters:  Helen (Larry) Hetzler  of Plattsmouth, Raellen Bryant of Beaver Lake.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents:  Ray & Mary Campbell; brothers:  Alfred & Harlan Conn; sisters:  Dorothy Campbell & Juanita Elderbaum Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Pastor Marty Kalkowski officiating. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
