Carolyn Ann Winters

Carolyn Ann (Walton) Winters age 74 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away peacefully on July 10, 2016 at her home. She was born April 12, 1942 to Ray and Marion (Lloyd) Walton in Wessington Springs, SD. Her family later moved to Plattsmouth where she graduated with the PHS Class of 1960. On March 17, 1961 Carolyn married Robert Winters together they raised 3 daughters Lora, Ronda and Paula. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family cooking and sewing. Her love for sports was varied golfing, fishing, softball and bowling. She became quite a spectator mom watching the girls at many bowling tournaments state wide and even regionally. After the girls were raised she worked in retail sales around Plattsmouth plus still watching the grandchildren in their various activities. Carolyn is survived by her husband Robert; children: Lora Frame of Rapid City, SD, Ronda (Michael) Sabey of Brandon, FL and Paula (JR) Warak of Bellevue, NE; six grandchildren: Skylar, Robert and Katrina Sabey, Hanna, Jessica and Amber Warak; brothers: Leroy (Barb) Walton and Larry (Linda) Walton. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Marion Walton; Troy Winters her infant son; and Pauline Robinson a sister. Services will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Harvey Funeral Chapel in Plattsmouth with Father Phil Chapman officiating and Terry Little as vocalist. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Skylar, Robert and Katrina Sabey, Hanna, Jessica and Amber Warak. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2016 the family will greet friend from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
