Cedric O. "Ted" Campbell

April 19, 1920 — June 14, 2011

Cedric O. ”Ted” Campbell of Bellevue, NE, formerly of Plattsmouth, NE passed away June 14, 2011 in Omaha, NE at the age of 91 years 1 month and 25 days. He was the son of William G. and Daisy (Seals) Campbell. Cedric was born April 19, 1920 in Clarkton, MO. Cedric joined the US Army during WWII and served from 1941 thru 1944. During his time in the Army he married Lawanda Hall on April 10, 1943 at New Madrid, Missouri. After he was discharged from the Army, he began to look for work, which led him to Clinton, Iowa where he was hired by the railroad. Cedric worked for the Chicago Northwest railroad as a carman his entire working career. This job required the family living in several states including Missouri, Iowa and finally Nebraska. Ted was a hard working man and when he was not at his job, you would likely find him working on cars in his garage. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He is survived by his wife Lawanda of Bellevue, Ne ; Children: Judy Asmus (Bob) of Urbandale, IA; Sandra Theisen (Bob) of Omaha; Joe Campbell (Ann) of Bellevue, NE; Brother Gus J. & Fonda Campbell of Florida; Sisters: Geraldine Malone of Germantown, TN; Eva & J.L. Horton of Herculeum, MO and 3 grandchildren, Jane Gomez, Joann Mauk and Leigh Stamer, 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael O. Campbell; Sister Bessie Wilson; and a Brother Floyd Campbell. Funeral Services are at 11:00 A.M. June 16, 2011 at the Living Water Church 1623 Chicago Ave., Plattsmouth, NE There will be no visitation due to cremation. Brian P.
