Cindy Lee Bethel

Cindy Lee Bethel age 63 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2025 at her home in Plattsmouth. She was born on April 26, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska to Lawrence and Joyce (Breazile) Bethel. 

Cindy spent her entire life in Plattsmouth, she attended Stull School before moving to town where she graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1980. She worked as a dedicated custodian at Plattsmouth Community Schools, where she took pride in keeping the school clean and welcoming for students and staff alike. Cindy had a passion for the simple joys in life. She loved listening to the music of the '60s and never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite teams, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her love for animals, especially her cherished cats, brought her immense joy. 

She shared a very special bond with her sister, Laurie. Together, they created many unforgettable memories, from their annual trips to the cabin at Mahoney State Park to adventurous travels across the country and dining out at various restaurants. They always found laughter together, frequently enjoying the comedic stylings of Josh Johnson.

Cindy is survived by her parents, Joyce and Ken Anderson of Plattsmouth, NE, sister, Laurie Tilson of Plattsmouth, uncle and aunt, Jerry and Theresa Breazile of Lincoln, NE and her beloved cats, Tessa, Princess and Willow along with her dog Stella. Cindy's wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a private family memorial service in April.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hearts United for Animals in Auburn reflecting Cindy's love for animals.
