Clara Miriam Dennis

Clara Miriam Dennis was born June13, 1924 in Sylvania, GA to Claude and Debbie Peavy and passed away January 12, 2015 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. On November 14, 1942 she wed Arlen E. Dennis in Ridgeland, South Carolina. To this marriage 4 children were born Barbara, Sandra, Marlen and Marvin. Before retiring in Plattsmouth they lived in Hoodsport, Washington. Clara is survived by her children: Barbara (Robert) Polston of Beaver Lake, NE; Sandra (Donald) Breneman of Hoodsport, WA; Ed (Jeannie) Dennis of Chicago, IL; Marvin Dennis of Lincoln, NE: 14 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 11 Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Debbie Peavy, husband Arlen E. Dennis, eight brothers and sisters. Miriam as she was known by many enjoyed being a homemaker. She spent her free time reading, gardening, spending time with family especially grandchildren. Hosting big family dinners and picnics was her great joy. Funeral services are Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth, NE with Rev. Raymond Wicks officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5-7 P.
