Clarence Keith Stattler, age 88 of Plattsmouth passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 30, 2026, Born on December 30, 1937, in Clearmont, Missouri to Merril and Ada (Hayes) Stattler.
In 1955, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country honorably until 1958. During his military service, he met the love of his life, Mirta, and they were united in marriage on July 4, 1957, in Putnam, Connecticut. Following his time in the Navy, Clarence pursued higher education, earning an Associate's Degree from Brown University.Keith dedicated over 20 years of his professional life working for Glenwood State School in Glenwood, Iowa. He also owned and operated the Able's Cafe in Plattsmouth for five years. In retirement, he became a familiar face within the halls of Plattsmouth High School, where he worked as a custodian.
A man of many interests, Clarence found joy in reading, gardening, swimming, walking, bowling, and riding motorcycles. However, above all, he treasured the moments spent with his family. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
Keith is survived by his children, Victor (Paula) Klein of Attleboro, MA, Judy Santos of Plattsmouth, NE, Kelly (Daniel) Fujikawa of Bellevue, NE, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Veron Stattler of Chepatche, RI, Mike (Lila) Stattler of Lincoln, NE and William (Debbie) Stattler of Beaver Lake, NE.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merril Stattler, mother Ada Wilson, wife Mirta Stattler, granddaughter Amanda Rae Fujikawa, grandson, Giovani A. Santos, son-in-law, Frank Santos, sisters, Carma Austin, Susan Balek and Mary Joe Strong.
Visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2026 wiith family greeting friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm followed by a family led recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Harvey Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Mark Pfeiffer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites by the United States Navy.
Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
