Claudette C. LaRiviere, age 84, of Plattsmouth, peacefully passed away at her home on July 15, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1938, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to the late Noel and Leona (Racine) Peloquin.

Claudette embarked on a remarkable journey alongside her beloved husband, Paul LaRiviere, whom she married on December 18, 1956, in Westfield, Massachusetts. As Paul served in the United States Air Force, they traveled the world, exploring different cultures and making cherished memories together. In 1972, they settled in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, where they established their loving home.

Professionally, Claudette dedicated her talents to the trucking business, where she excelled in organizing freight deliveries and data entry. Her commitment to her work was evident in her efficiency and attention to detail, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Claudette had a passion for bowling. Working at Space Lanes, she found great joy in the sport and actively participated in various tournaments. Her exceptional bowling skills were recognized when she secured the State Doubles Championship. She also had the privilege of attending the National Bowling Tournament multiple times. Her dedication to the sport extended beyond her personal achievements, as she served as League secretary for many years, contributing to the growth and success of the bowling community.

Claudette's interests extended beyond bowling. She found solace in the tranquility of freshwater fishing, cherished the adventures of camping, and enjoyed the thrill of playing cards and the occasional trip to the casino.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul LaRiviere of Plattsmouth, children, Steven LaRiviere of Torrington, WY, Lisa (David) Gass of Wichita Falls, TX, Martin LaRiviere of Plattsmouth, grandchildren, Angel (Brandon) Arnett, April LaRiviere, Alex (Jamie) LaRiviere, Amber LaRiviere and Brandon (Stakevia) Tipton, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Alisha LaRiviere and sister Rosealine Hoffman.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM – Harvey Funeral Home Chapel, Plattsmouth.

Graveside Service will be Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery.
