With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Connie Rae Diggs, who left this world peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on May 22, 1942, Connie lived a life full of laughter, love, resilience, and service. She was a devoted daughter, cherished friend, and beloved family matriarch whose warmth and compassion left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Connie had a deep love for animals, especially her treasured cats, who were more like companions than pets. Her home was always a welcoming place—filled with stories, card games, and conversations that stretched into the evening. Known for her sharp wit and even sharper skills at the card table, she could turn any gathering into a celebration.

Above all, Connie loved deeply—her family, her friends, and the community she built around her. She believed in showing up, speaking out, and loving well.

She is survived by her loving family, along with countless friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly and remember her always.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. Matt Coplen officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
