Connie J Lasure

Connie Jean LaSure age 72 of Bellevue, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Heritage Ridge Assisted Living Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.  She was born on November 12, 1945 in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert Charles and Mary Jane (Stewart) Eberhard.

Connie grew up in Kingsley, Iowa and graduated from Kingsley-Pearson High School in 1964.  She continued her education at Briar Cliff University where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  After marriage to Robert LaSure, they made their home in Beaver Lake.  Connie began teaching in the Plattsmouth Head Start Program and retired after 30+ years of service.

She loved the outdoors and volunteered her time with the Bellevue Garden Club and at Lauritzen Gardens.  She cherished the time she was able to spend with her children and her five grandchildren.

Connie was a member of the PEO Chapter HC of Bellevue, Altrusa, Bellevue Garden Club and the Sister Chicks Sorority.

She is survived by her two sons, Brock (Liz) LaSure of Plattsmouth, NE; Brent (Kellee) LaSure of Sidney, NE; grandchildren, Ava, Liam, Ethan, Abby & Emily LaSure, sisters, Gayle (Dale) Jaacks of Kingsley, IA; Ruth Eberhard of Kingsley, IA; nephew: Jason (Elena) Jaacks of Las Vegas, NV, nieces: Karrie (Marty) King of Sergeant Bluff, IA; Kelli (Larry) Beach of Sergeant Bluff, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Mary Jane Eberhard and husband, Robert LaSure.

The family will greet and receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8 :00 PM at Harvey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lauritzen Gardens.
