LIVESTREAM (CLICK HERE) Danny Lee Betts, 72, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away April 16, 2023, at his home. Danny was born February 1, 1951, to Willard and Fern (McConaha) Betts in Nebraska City. After high school, Danny joined the US Marine Corps and served his country in Vietnam. After his service, he worked various jobs and then went to work for National By-Products as an Industrial Mechanic until his retirement. On March 2, 2007, he married Anita Elderbaum at a ceremony in Nebraska City, Nebraska. In his younger years he enjoyed spending time outdoors camping with his family. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed taking his boys to hill climbs. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fixing, and building things, and picking on his grandchildren. He was truly a child at heart, he loved spending time with family and telling stories of the past. Danny is survived by his wife, Anita, his children, Twila (Travis) Ross, Tessa (Ryan) Roberts, Erica (David) Robinson, Shon Betts, Jason Betts, Bruce Betts, Jimmy Betts, and Don (Alisa) Betts, Dan (Samanta) Betts, step-children James Fleming, Kirk (Emily) Fleming, Jesse (Ana) Fleming, Allen (Kori) Fleming, Adrian (Rebecca) Fleming, Jessica (Jerry) McGraw, adopted daughter/granddaughter, Amanda Fleming, 44 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and brothers, Lin (Kathy) Betts, and Ray (LuAnna) Betts. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Billy and Jimmy, and his sisters, Peggy Pierson, and Sally (John) Helm, daughter, Rebecca and granddaughter Saddie Fleming. A funeral service for Danny will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 1 pm at the Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, with Reverend Jim Spanjers officiating. A burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 20th from 4 – 8 pm at the funeral home, with family greeting friends from 6 – 8 pm.
