Darlene R. Brown, 86 of Papillion, passed away on November 25, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to Herbert and Okal (Watson) Wilkerson. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Brown on January 31st and together they raised four children, Michael, Eric, Geron and Angi. Darlene was a medical transcriptionist for the VA for many years, retiring from Offutt, where she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving others in the health industry. Yet, it was her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that brought her the most joy. She took immense pride in supporting her family, including traveling around the country to attend their activities.

An avid quilter, Darlene poured her heart into creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Her creativity extended beyond quilting; she was also a talented cook and baker, often sweetening family gatherings with her delectable treats. She cherished the friendships she formed through the Hobby Club-later known as the "Fabulous Five"-a group that brought her great joy, laughter, and lifelong connection. A faithful member of the Murray Christian Church, Darlene was actively involved in her church community and served as an Eastern Star member in Plattsmouth.

She is survived by her children, Angi (Scott) Miller of Bellevue; Geron (Jennifer) Brown of Tacoma, WA; Eric (Heather) Brown of Waverly; Michael Brown of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren-Becky (Traven) Carlson, Nolan & Caden Brown, Josh (Melissa) Brown, Caleb (fiancé Liz Bryson) Brown, Hannah Brown, Kimi (Kelsey) Wagner-Miller, Ryan & Kristen Miller. In addition, Darlene leaves behind a legacy of great-grandchildren: Charlotte & Kacey Brown, Leighton Brand-Miller, Kambree, Kallen and Kason Miller-Wagner; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Brown; and brother, Victor Wilkerson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Murray Christian Church. The service will be livestreamed on the Harvey Facebook page.

Memorials are suggested to the Murray Christian Church.
