David William Conley, 88, of Plattsmouth, NE, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Heritage Ridge Assisted Living Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.  He was born on May 22, 1936, in Hays, Kansas to Marion and Eunice (Houghton) Conley.

David grew up in Cherryville, Kansas and graduated from Cherryville High School in 1954.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country until being honorably discharged in 1958.  He was united in marriage on February 28, 1958 to Janice I. Sherwin, together they made a life of love and happiness.  He went on to enjoy a fulfilling career in sales, spending many years with companies such as Globe Signs, Phoenix Signs, and Superior Signs where he left a lasting mark with his engaging personality and salesmanship.

David was active in his church, Hosanna Lutheran Church in Plattsmouth, where he imparted wisdom and faith as a confirmation teacher for many years. His dedication extended to the Plattsmouth Senior Center, where he was a cherished member.  Music was a lifelong passion for David, and he enjoyed playing the trumpet with the Plattsmouth Community Band. Alongside his late beloved wife, Janice, he shared enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, together selling Pampered Chef and Amway products. The couple cherished their home at Beaver Lake, where fishing, boating, and gathering with family created cherished memories.

David will be remembered for his avid love of nature and the quieter pursuits in life, such as bird watching, feeding the deer, reading, and traveling with Janice. They were unwavering supporters of their children’s and grandchildren's various activities.  David's life was shaped by love and laughter, and he has left an indelible legacy for his family that continues to flourish.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion & Eunice Conley, and his loving wife, Janice Conley, two sons, Brett and Eric Conley and a brother, Jim Conley.  He is survived by his son Marc (Jacquelyn) Conley, of Bellevue, NE, daughter-in-law, Nancy Conley of  Plattsmouth, NE, 13 grandchildren, 20+ great grandchildren, 5+ great great grandchildren, and a brother, Michael (Cheryl) Conley.  David is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews.
