Dolores "Dee" I Lewis

Dolores I. Lewis  age 78 of Plattsmouth, NE.  Passed away at the Brookstone Village in Omaha on December 1, 2014.  She was born February 12, 1936 to Ernest and Ophelia (Cahall) Hobbs in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up and attended Omaha South High School.  Dee worked for Union Pacific Railroad.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, the Presbyterian Mariners, and Lions Club dedicated to working with their eye program.  Among her many interests was the Henry Doorly Zoo where she volunteered with the membership drive.  The church was also very important to her.  She was an active member with the women’s circle and served as a Deacon. Dee loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed many of her grandchildren’s activities. She is survived by children,  Sue (Mike) Mohr of Omaha, Judy (Mike) Simpson  of Murray, Sandy (Matt) Massey of Orleans, Matt (Nikki) Lewis of Murray,  grandchildren Briana Mohr, Kaitlyn Mohr, Cody Simpson, Joey Simpson, Kim Gundrum, Jared Lewis, Ella Lewis, Anthony Ruelas, great grandchildren Emma & Frankie Gundrum, brothers:  John (Marge) Hobbs of Papillion, Donald (Carol) Hobbs of Omaha, brother-in-law Roy Gage of Omaha and sister-in-law Caroline Hobbs of Papillion, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Ernest & Ophelia (Cahall) Hobbs, husband Aubrey “Bill” Lewis, sisters Gertrude McCune, Geraldine Hendrix, and Eleanor Gage, brother Raymond Hobbs Funeral Services will be Friday, (12/5) at 10:30 AM. at First Presbyterian Church, Plattsmouth, NE with Rev. Carl Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday (12/4)  from 1 until 9 PM with the family present from 6 – 8 at the Harvey Funeral Home Plattsmouth, NE.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
