Don Loftin

Don H. Loftin was born Nov. 11, 1930 to Willie C. and Blanch (Lakey) Loftin in Thomasville, NC. He passed away May 24, 2013 in Nebraska City, NE at the age of 82. Don graduated from high school and then went on to Colorado University where he graduated and became a teacher. He served his country in the United State Air Force as a cook and was honorably discharged after 3 years. In his later years he worked in sales. He was a member of Lepert-Wolever V.F.W. Post # 2547. On January 18, 1997 he wed Cynthia M. Ballenger at the Murray Presbyterian Church in Murray, NE. He is survived by his wife Cynthia of Plattsmouth; daughters – Sharon Brigham – Omaha, NE and Karen Boyce of CO; brother – James D. Loftin of NC; step-children Lea Ann Ballenger – Omaha, NE and William J. Ballenger – Council Bluffs, IA; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dillon Loftin. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 - 10:30 A.M. at the Murray Presbyterian Church, Murray, NE with Rev.
