Donald “Donnie” Oswald
3/21/56 - 9/10/24
Born and raised in Pacific Junction, IA, Donnie grew up close with his many siblings and neighborhood friends that he kept in touch with throughout the years. He met the love of his life of almost 50 years, Diana, and they soon married bringing up 2 adoring daughters, DeeDee and Kimberly. He was a proud man raising his family in the town he loved and was always so proud to call home, PJ. Donnie loved to sing and listen to his music. You may have even caught him singing karaoke at his favorite hang out. Donnie also loved catching up with neighbors, old friends and especially his brothers and sisters and their families. He loved westerns, wrestling and a good celebration. He was always helping anyone out that he could. And he always had a good dog at home. He retired from Glenwood Resource Center in 2011, after 36 yrs of employment. He loved the clients there as well as many coworkers he worked with over the years. That same year, he took on a new role as Grandpa (Poppy) and that is one he was even more proud of. Unfortunately in 2019 he and Dianna lost their home in the flood resulting in Donnie leaving the town he loved so much and making a new home close by in Plattsmouth, NE. He fought many health battles over the years before taking his final rest.
