Edward L. Pohlmeier age 75 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE.  He was born February 15, 1945 in Lawrence, NE to George and Dorothy (Theer) Pohlmeier.

Edward was raised in Plattsmouth along with his nine siblings.  He married Ailene Kellison and together they raised five children, Shelly, Steve, Jenny, Jacie, and Susie.  He worked as an electrician for Allied Chemical, construction, drove a cement truck, and worked for Schmidt Trucking.  Recently he drove a school bus for Conestoga Schools.   After the passing of Ailene he married Mary Larsen in January of 2010 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.  He enjoyed Husker football, carpentry, camping, cars and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pohlmeier, Plattsmouth, children, Shelly (Donald) DuBay, Papillion, Steve (Jenny) Pohlmeier, Erie, IL, Jenny (Mark) S ullivan, Plattsmouth, Jacie (Greg) Giitter, Omaha, Susie (Mike) Larsen, Tekamah, Step-son, Brian (Brandee) Hardy, Lincoln, MO.  13 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters, Bob (Janice) Pohlmeier, Plattsmouth, Ron (Sharon) Pohlmeier, Plattsmouth, Judy Belvin, Missouri, Ken (Debbie) Pohlmeier, Plattsmouth, Frank (Connie) Pohlmeier, Omaha, Ray (Georgia) Pohlmeier, Plattsmouth, Cheryl (Mike) Joyce, Minnesota , Lynne (Mike) Garcia, Idaho.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in in death by parents George and Dorothy Pohlmeier, wife Ailene, brother Allen Pohlmeier

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 PM at the funeral chapel with family present 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Masks are required.

Private family service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at Harvey funeral home with Father Kevin Joyce officiating. The service will be livestreamed beginning at 10:30 for the public on the funeral home Facebook page

Public Graveside Services will follow at 11:15 A.M. at Holy Sepulchre in Plattsmouth, NE

Memorials may be directed to the family for establishment of a scholarship for students entering a Trade School.
