Elbie Ray Lamb, 83, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home on August 31, 2024. Born on August 6, 1941, in Troy, Oklahoma, to Ralph Erwin and Opal Marie (Jarman) Lamb.

Elbie was raised in Bellflower, California, where he graduated from Bellflower High School in 1959. He pursued his passion for faith and learning by attending Life Bible College (Life Pacific University).  In September of 1962, Elbie married Judy C. Hewett, with whom he built a loving family. After Judy's passing, Elbie found love again and married Darlene Eggleston Evans in August 1993. Together, they shared many joyful years, residing in Beaver Lake, Nebraska.

Elbie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969.  After his military service, he embarked on a successful career, becoming a respected Flooring Manager at Nebraska Furniture Mart. He retired in 2011 after many years of dedicated service.

Elbie was a man of deep faith, active in the First Presbyterian Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual fulfillment. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he inspired those around him with his kindness and generosity.

Elbie is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Lamb, and his children, Scott (Sheri) Lamb of Omaha, NE, Dr. Don (Shelly) Evans of Elkhorn, NE, and Denise (Patrick) Stuart of Beaver Lake, NE. He also leaves behind a cherished legacy through his grandchildren, Andrew (Priscilla) Lamb, Scott Lamb, Abbey Lamb, John Ulrich, Joshua Stuart, Matthew (Emily Bomer) Stuart, Brittany (Nathan) Dunn, Jaxon Stuart, Samantha Henry, Samarion Henry, Montae Henry, Alexis Evans, Chase Evans, Corbin (Bethany) Merkel, and great-grandchildren Sophia Lamb, Easton Lamb, Isabella Stuart, Lucas Stuart, Michelle Stuart, Layton Mosco, Alena Stuart, Suria Stuart, Brayden Stuart, Daisy Dunn, Lucas Merkel, Emery Merkel, and Laikyn Merkel. His brother, Ralph T. (Anna) Lamb of Spain, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

Elbie was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Opal Lamb, his first wife Judy Lamb, and his sisters, Helen Fesagaiga and Linda Emelio.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. Matt Coplen officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends at the Funeral Home.

A private family burial will be held prior to the funeral service at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
