Elise Keim

Frances “Elise” Keim was born July 2, 1918 in Oswego, KS to Paul F. Miller and Bessie B. (Dudgeon) Miller. She attended school in Oswego and graduated from high school. On May 8, 1938 she married Chester N. Keim in Oswego. Chet and Elise adopted a son, Ronald R. Keim. The family had an interesting life. Chet was a welder – pipefitter and they traveled all over on construction jobs. In September 1952 they purchased a farm northwest of Ottawa, KS and lived there until Chet’s death. In Sept. 1989 Elise moved to Plattsmouth to be near her family. Her church was very important to her and she became the organist serving for 10 years. She was a member of F.O.E. #365 Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post 2543 Lepert-Wolever Auxiliary. Elise enjoyed sports especially baseball where she cheered her favorite team the Kansas City Royals. She spent many years as a member of the Tuesday Matinee Bowling League where she enjoyed bowling with family and friends. She loved to read and music was a great part of her life. Elise is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded her in death were her husband Chester, son Ronald, parents Paul and Bessie Miller, two infant sisters Betty and Lois Miller, one brother and sister-in-law Carl and Billie Miller, sisters and brothers-in-law Margaret and Frank Lepert, Elaine and Kenneth Dungan. Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends 6 – 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The funeral service is Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Christian Church – 802 Avenue “C” – Plattsmouth, NE with the Rev. Mike Lincoln officiating. Pall bears are Elliott Lepert, Alex Lepert, Connor Lepert, Zach Johnston, Darian Lepert and Bill Latimer. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
