Ethel M Bremer Miller

Ethel Marie Wendt Bremer Miller was born on October 21, 1912 to Otto and Ida (Schleuter) Wendt on a farm near Wisner, Nebraska. Ethel was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church. She was educated at Cuming Co. Rural School District #58 and Zion Lutheran Parochial School, both near Wisner, NE. After her schooling she was employed in various homes. Ethel was married April 1, 1934 at Zion Lutheran Church to Erwin H. Bremer. They engaged in farming, residing on several farms in the Wisner area. In 1942, they moved into Wisner. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her immaculate lawn and beautiful flowers. In 1971, Ethel and Erwin moved to Norfolk, NE. Her husband, Erwin passed away in 1972. Ethel continued living there, marrying Louis Miller in 1983. They moved and resided in Fremont until relocating to the Valhaven Apartments in Valley. Louis passed away in 2003. Ethel continued to live there until 2007, after which, she moved and resided at the Waterford Assisted Living facility in Plattsmouth. She passed away on September 14, 2010 at the age of 97 years. She is survived by her sons, Burdette Bremer and wife Marcia of Scottsdale, AZ; DeLoy Bremer and wife Kim of Plattsmouth, NE; daughter Jana Kingston and husband Larry of Sandwich, IL; Seven Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren and her brother Verlin Wendt and wife Caroline of Wisner, NE; She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ida Wendt, two sisters, Adela Wendt and Elna Wendt Stuthman; brother Harvey Wendt and grandson, Thomas Kingston. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Harvey Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, NE. Visitation will be Friday, September 17th from 4-6 PM with family greeting friends at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Norfolk, NE.
