Gerald (Jerry) F. Wilsey, Sr.

Gerald F. Wilsey, Sr.  age 78 of Murray, NE. was born May 3, 1938 to Asa & Loretta (Schleich)  Wilsey in  Caledonia, MN and passed away March 13, 2017 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE.  He served our country in the US Air Force for 24 years retiring in 1979.  He then went to work for the US Post Office and work there for 20 more years.  Jerry was united in marriage on January 21, 1967 to Nola Weiss in Bellevue, Nebraska.  Together they raised four children, Toby, Mark, Julie and Jerry.  In his retirement he enjoyed working crossword puzzles, game shows, supporting local kids, helping Nola with her interests and was an avid hunter.  Jerry was a Golden Eagle member of Eagles Club Arie #365, V.F.W. Post 2543 and Post 10727.  He also was involved with the local Pheasants Forever chapter. He is survived by his wife, Nola Wilsey of Murray; children:  Toby (Lisa) Wilsey of Papillion, Mark (Loriane) Wilsey of Bellevue, Julie (Sam) Naberhaus of Nebraska City, Jerry (Robin) Wilsey of Cameron, MO; 9 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jim Wilsey and a sister Gloria Ann Wilsey. Visitation only will be Wed. 3/15/17 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home with the family present. No Services will be held. Memorials may be directed to the American Red Cross.
