Harold "Joe" D Austin

Harold D. “Joe” Austin, Jr. age 71 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska was born on August 12, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska to Harold D. and Alberta Irene (Wright) Austin. He passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at his home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Joe was raised in Plattsmouth and graduated from Plattsmouth High School. He worked most of his career as a Plumber serving Plattsmouth and surrounding areas with dependable plumbing services. He was united in marriage on June 17, 1962 to Barbara M. West in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Joe was a founding member of the Plattsmouth Volunteer Rescue Squad and also a member of the Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Department. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and watching NASCAR. Joe is survived by his Wife Barbara Austin of Plattsmouth, NE Children: Rikki Jo (Rich) Breuer of Burlington, IA; Barbara Jo (Kevin) Wagner of Plattsmouth, NE; Kelly Jo Statter of Ralston, NE; 6 Grandchildren: 4 Step Grandchildren, 4 Step Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Albert Austin.
