Herman Philip “Phil” Meisinger age 72 of Valley Park, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2021.  He was born on September 16, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska to Herman P. and Mabel J. (Howard) Meisinger.

He was raised in Mynard and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1966.  After High School, he attended Nebraska Wesleyan University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree. He went on to the University of Nebraska in Omaha obtaining a Master of Arts Degree in Biology.  Phil started his career at the Douglas County Health Department where he managed the lab. He continued to follow his passion at Roche and had continued success in sales before eventually retiring from Ricoh in 2018. Phil then began spending his time with his children, grandchildren & even added to his family with a four-legged puppy named Annie.

Phil was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan.  He enjoyed baking, cooking, and sharing his creations with others especially his BBQ. He always loved playing cards, Battleship, Yahtzee, SkipBo and board games. Since retiring, he especially enjoyed these games with his family. He even had a bunk bed which held a special place close to him for when his grandchildren came to visit. He also appreciated a good cigar and fishing excursions.  His passion for Christ was evident throughout his life. There was a bible in every room of his house. He loved missions & took a trip to Bulgaria to share the word of the Lord. His greatest highlight was the time he was able to spend with his children & grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Kristal Meisinger, Eric (Danielle) Meisinger and Karin (Chuck) Graeser, his grandchildren, Nicholas James, Madelyn Graeser, Aiden Stearns, Olivia Graeser, Abigail Stearns, Emry Stearns, Peyton Meisinger and Brooklyn Graeser.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mabel Meisinger, sisters, Mildred Sampley and Bonnie Rouse and brother, Dennis Meisinger.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Harvey Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The family will greet friends one hour before the services at the funeral home.
