Jack H Fullerton

Jack Howard Fullerton age 82 of Plattsmouth, NE was born on October 23, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska to Howard E. and Florence C. (Terryberry) Fullerton.  He passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Papillion Manor in Papillion, Nebraska

Jack grew up in Omaha and attended Omaha Central High School where he graduated from in 1953.  He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.  He served his country from 1958 until 1964 in the United States Army Reserves.  On April 12, 1959, he was united in marriage to Linda Sprinkel at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Omaha, Nebraska.

Jack spent his entire career working in the grocery industry.  Throughout the years, he worked at many different grocery stores including Shavers Food Mart, Bag N Save, and most recently HyVee, however most notably, he became Store Manager for Rubacks in 1965 and later opened the new Sack N Save store in Plattsmouth.  His job allowed him the opportunity to meet many people, he enjoyed sharing stories, finding out about their families or sometimes just a quick “Hello, how are you doing.”  He set an example to his co-workers about what heart-felt customer service really meant.

Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards like pitch and bridge with his friends.  He was an avid Nebraska Athletics fan; however, his greatest joy was watching the various activities of his son, Dan and grandsons, Logan and Crosby.

He is survived by wife, Linda Fullerton of Plattsmouth, NE; son, Daniel (Jennifer) Fullerton of Plattsmouth, NE; grandsons, Logan & Crosby Fullerton of Plattsmouth, NE, brother, Steve (Joy) Fullerton of Surprise, AZ.  He is also survived by nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. Matt Coplen officiating.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska

Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church.
