James "Jim" Krejci

James “Jim” F. Krejci, age 69 of Centerville, Iowa, formerly of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Jim was born January 24, 1944 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, the son of Frank James and Mae Alice (True) Krejci. Following high school graduation, Jim received advanced training in the banking field, including numerous classes and training programs. Jim was a banker for approximately 50 years, including time spent in Centerville, Iowa. He was also a designer and builder of homes in the Omaha area for a period of time while living in Nebraska. He married Sharon Gansemer and she preceded him in death on May 2, 1980. Jim later married Marla (Morris) Hoffman on April 2, 2005 in Centerville, Iowa. Jim is survived by his wife Marla Krejci of Centerville, Iowa; two step-children, Timothy (Leah) Hoffman of Urbandale, Iowa and Scott (friend Jenna) Hoffman of West Des Moines, Iowa; a grandson, Parker Hoffman of Urbandale, Iowa; in-laws Marvin (Shirley) Morris of Centerville, Iowa; a sister, Jackie (Jack) Munhall of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; 3 sister-in-laws, Vicky Beall, Cindy (Darrell) Koehler, and Molly (Tom) Kelly; two brother-in-laws, Troy (Megan) Morris and Ken (Gwen) Reier; and many nieces and nephews from both families. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Sharon (Gansemer) Krejci; two brothers, Robert “Snow” Krejci and David Krejci, and two sisters, Frankie Mae Cotner and Carol Reier. In his free time Jim was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing, along with many additional hobbies. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, Iowa from 2-8PM, with the family present from 6-8 PM. A prayer service will follow the visitation at Lange Funeral Home from 8-8:30 PM. A visitation will be held at the Brian P. Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 1-8 PM, with the family present from 6-8PM. Funeral services will take place 11 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Brian P. Harvey Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Lincoln officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth.
