Jane A Dietl

Jane A. Dietl age 74 of Ashland, NE was born March 31, 1941 at Cedar Creek, NE to John and Meredith (Heneger) Dietl and passed away January 24, 2016 at the Ashland Care Center in Ashland, NE. She was raised in the Nehawka area and attended school. She received her PHD while teaching. She taught and was an administrator in Crab Orchard and Papillion, NE. She also taught in Germany, Holland and ended her career in California. Jane enjoyed fishing, traveling, horseback riding and reading books. Her students were very important to her. Along with her activities she was activity in many teacher organizations. She is survived by her mother Meredith Dietl of Plattsmouth; sisters, Connie (Richard) Bowers of Chicago, IL and Diana Dietl of Weeping Water, NE; Nieces/Nephew, Courtney (Tom) Wulf, Miranda (Tracey) Wistrom, John (Becci) Meredith; Great Nieces/Nephews, David, Luke and Seth Meredith, Hank and Della Wistrom, Delanie and Addie DeHoyos Jane was preceded in death by her father John Dietl. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Brian P. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsmouth with Fr. Patrick Murphy officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Memorials may be directed to the Nehawka, NE library.
