Janet Renee` Perkolup age 75 of Plattsmouth, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away surrounded by family at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska on March 14, 2021.  She was born on January 4, 1946 in Griffith, Indiana to Thomas and Margaret (Duckworth) Watts.

Janet grew up in Griffith, Indiana and graduated from High School there.  Most of her adult life was spent in Texas, Alabama and Tennessee where she raised her children, worked as a Teller at South Trust Bank and later a secretary at Northwood Christian Church.  While working at the bank she met Peter Perkolup, they courted for a time before marrying on May 5, 1990 in Huntsville, Alabama.  They recently moved to Plattsmouth to be closer to their family.

She loved working on many different craft projects, was a talented seamstress, enjoyed bowling and shopping.  She was well known among her family and friends for her homemade and personalized birthday cards and took pride in making them each unique and special.

Janet is survived by her husband, Peter Perkolup of Plattsmouth, NE, daugthers, Marnet Shiffler of New Hampshire and Leslie (Dewayne) Webb of Plattsmouth, NE, stepdaughter, Pamela Perkolup of Elgin, IL and grandchildren, Haley Webb, Emma-Kate Webb, Justin Webb, Coedy Slater, Alex Ellsworth, Justin Greer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Watts.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jesse Wicks officiating.

Burial will be in the Omaha National Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
