Jennie Marie Marks

Jennie Marie Marks age 73 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away peacefully at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was born on October 20, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Callie (Fulford) Hand.

Jennie was raised in Tinley Park, Illinois where she graduated from High School  She attended a y ear of college at Pillsbury Bible Baptist College before being united in marriage to William Marks, Sr. on March 22, 1975 in Greenville, South Carolina.  Together they raised two children Billy and Callie.

Throughout the years, Jennie enjoyed time with family and friends and always enjoyed cooking for those who visited her.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Jennie is survived by her children, Billy (Mary Ann) Marks, Jr. of Plattsmouth, NE, Callie (James) Heitz of Omaha, NE, grandchildren, LaCory and Daniel Gordon, Shane and Andrew Marks, Sophie and Bradley Heitz, siblings, Robert (Doris) Hand, Marshfield, MO, Norma Zipsie of Blue Springs, MO, Michael Hand of Lowell, IN.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, husband William A. Marks, Sr., brother-in-law, Wayne Zipsie, sister-in-law, Cheryl Hand and nephew, Bobby Hand.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. Raymond Wicks officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, July14, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends at First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow the Funeral Service in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
