Joan C Timerman

Joan C. Timerman, age 86, of Plattsmouth passed away peacefully at the Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bellevue, Nebraska on Saturday, September 25, 2021.  She was born on April 10, 1935, in Corpus Christi, Texas and raised by her grandparents, Ebbie M. and Lillian (Mulleniux) Thrift.

Joan grew up in Texas where she graduated from High School.  As the daughter of a military family, she met Carl G. Timerman who was serving in the Air Force and the two were married on February 6, 1953.  Together they raised four children, Kathy, Michael, Peggy, and Robert.  While in the Air Force, they traveled to various locations until reaching Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, and eventually making their home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska

Joan enjoyed reading and watching people.  She was fond of history, especially the Civil War era. She enjoyed traveling and visiting southern plantations.

Joan is survived by her children, Kathy (Charles) Jordan of Plattsmouth, Peggy (Michael Taylor) Newcomb of Plattsmouth, NE, Robert Timerman of Plattsmouth, daughter-in-law Kristine Timerman, grandchildren, Christopher Timerman, Thresa Evans, Brian Timerman, Christopher Jordan, Brent Jordan, Aaron Jordan, Cari Morehouse, Carl Newcomb, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a sister Gayle Cash of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Timerman, son, Michael Timerman and her brother, Jimmy Cash.

Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in the Omaha National Cemetery.
