John M Dix

John Michael Dix age 47 of Oakland, Nebraska was born on October 8, 1968 in Omaha, Nebraska to William E. Dix and Karen M. (Toot) Dix. He passed away September 6, 2016 while traveling in Seattle, WA. He grew up in the Omaha area graduating from Millard South High School in 1987. After college, he worked for many years in the Entertainment Industry as a Visual Artist and was founder of HPX Presents. He enjoyed music, fishing, watching football (especially the Minnesota Vikings) and spending time with friends and family. John is survived by his mother, Karen Johnson of Omaha, NE, father, William (Judy) Dix of Oakland, NE, brothers, Jason (Laurie) Dix of Seattle, WA, Joel (Amy) Dix of Plattsmouth, NE, step-brothers, Brian (Wendi) Johnson of Omaha, NE, Kurt (Amie) Johnson of Springfield, NE, and a step-sister, Lori (Mike) Apgar of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his step-father Charley Johnson. A Service Celebrating John’s Life will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church at 15005 “Q” St. in Omaha, NE with Rev. Sean Chapman officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Wheatley, Peter Oppenheimer, Steve Pflaum, Paul Rase, Cindy Pignoitti, Keith White Inurnment will be in the Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, Iowa In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
