Joseph M Young

Joseph M. Young age 49 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska.  He was born on December 31, 1970 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Columbus, Nebraska

Joseph grew up near David City, Nebraska and graduated from Columbus High School.  He later obtained his Associates Degree in Psychology.  He worked for many years in the technology industry as a computer IT specialist.

He had a kind soul, always looking for ways by which he could help others.  He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying time hiking, rock climbing, fly fishing and canoeing.  He enjoyed animals of all kinds and took great pride in his abilities to work with horses.  Much of his life was influenced by music.  In high school he participated and had the lead role in several musicals.  He found great joy in writing his own music, playing guitar and singing.

Joseph is survived by his mother & step-father, Mary & Bill Mason of Plattsmouth, NE,  father and step-mother, Don & Pat Dolezal of Bellevue, NE, sisters, Lynette (Ron) Schuster of Martell, NE, Danielle (Darren) Pekny of Blair, NE.  He is also survived by step-siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Private Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at One Life Church, 2209 1 ^st Avenue, Plattsmouth, NE with Pastor Jon Haizlip officiating.  MASKS REQUIRED

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family for future designation in care of Harvey Funeral Home, 1408 8th Avenue, Plattsmouth, NE  68048.
