Josephine Mcmillan

Josephine I. McMillan, 91, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at her home in Plattsmouth. She was born to Angelo and Zaira (Berrati) Anania on October 28, 1929 in Omaha, NE.

She graduated from North High School in 1947. On May 6, 1950 she married George McMillan at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. To their union they had three children. She worked in a variety of positions at Northside Bank, which later became American National Bank, for over forty years. Throughout her life, Josephine loved being involved in her children’s, and eventually grandchildren’s, activities. She always enjoyed her time with friends and family. In addition to family time, Josephine spent much of her time knitting and watching game shows.

She is survived by her children, Jackie Sip of Plattsmouth, NE, Janie (Rick) Payton of Plattsmouth, NE, Dave (Jody) McMillan of Omaha, NE; 7 grandchildren;15 great grandchildren; her sister Grace Albright of Gladstone, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, her brother, Domenic Anania, and sister, Frances Wright.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Calvary Cemetery, Omaha, NE.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
