Joshua Lee Colbert age 24 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away at his home on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  He was born on August 13, 1998 to Scott & Shari (McDonald) Colbert at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Josh was raised in Omaha and attended school in Millard where he graduated from Millard South High School in 2016.  Josh loved spending time with family and friends. He always had a smile and was kind and caring. He loved making people laugh or feel good about themselves and greeting you with a smile and hug and always an “I love you” when leaving.

After High School he spent some time in Arizona where he enjoyed time in nature hiking and taking in the beautiful sights. He was adventurous, loved all animals especially his dogs, skateboarding, playing pool, bowling, and playing golf with family. Josh loved the outdoors, going to the rivers, lakes, and time fishing with his friends. He worked as a cook and customer service at Runza in Gretna.

Josh is survived by his parents, Scott & Shari Colbert of Omaha, NE, brother, Luke (Brandi) Colbert of Plattsmouth, NE, sister, Jonna (James) Carroll of Plattsmouth, NE, grandparents, Bob & Jean Colbert of Plattsmouth, NE, Sharon McDonald of Omaha, NE, aunts & uncles, Carrie & Mike Beam of Kearney, MO, Kelly Pellan of Plattsmouth, NE, Debra Barnes of Omaha, NE, Lori Mann of Cave Creek, AZ, Michael McDonald of Omaha, NE and Todd & Charlene McDonald of Mt. Rainer, MD.  He is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gordon McDonald and uncle, Don Mann.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Lutheran Church of the Master, 2617 S. 114th St | Omaha 68144.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, 2300 S 78th St, Omaha, NE 68124.
