Judy Ann Owens

Judy Ann Owens was born on March 8, 1942 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Harold and Vera (Walker) Payne. She passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage on September 7, 1962 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Richard Owens. Together they raised four children, Rick, Angelia, Sherri and Shelia. Later in life, she attended college and graduated with a in Respiratory. She operated her own business called Care Services serving hospitals in Glenwood and Hamburg, Iowa and Nebraska City, Nebraska. She enjoyed card clubs, square dancing, golf league, quilting, sewing, painting, making Porcelain dolls, boating, RV'ing, fishing, flowers and being outdoors. She is survived by her Husband: Richard Owens of Plattsmouth, NE; Children: Rick Owens and wife Brenda of Washington D.C.; Angelia Sawyers and husband Dennis of Nebraska City, NE; Sherri Rieke and husband Roger of Bellevue, NE; Shelia Tschirren and husband Jim of Plattsmouth, NE; Richard Owens of Springfield, MO; Kathy Owens of Bentonville, AR; 10 Grandchildren: 5 ½ Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Michael Payne; Daniel Payne and wife Tina all of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Dixie Doughty. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. David Haynes officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
