Katherine R Hobscheidt

Katherine R. Hobscheidt was born on March 4, 1922 in Cedar Creek, Nebraska to Ralph and Rosine (Wegener) Meisinger. She passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska at the age of 91 years. After graduating from Louisville High School in 1938, she attended Peru State College to receive her teacher training. She taught in rural schools for 5 years before marriage. Katherine was united in marriage on October 28, 1944 in St. John’s Catholic Church in Plattsmouth to Henry D. Hobscheidt. After Henry’s military service, they settled on a farm near Murray, Nebraska. Together they farmed and raised four children, Don, Mike, Pat and Mary. Katherine was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, the PCCW, Lewiston Social Circle Extension Club, Murray Homemakers Extension Club, the Ladies Pinochle Club, Murray Grange, Farm Bureau and The American Agriculture Movement. She is survived by her Children: Don (Peggy) Hobscheidt of Syracuse, NE, Mike (Ardell) Hobscheidt of Weeping Water, NE, Pat (Debbie) Hobscheidt of Murray, NE, Mary (Keith) Stone of Union, NE Grandchildren: Don (Jennifer) Hobscheidt of Murray, NE, Lacey (Jeff) Van Roy of Omaha, NE, Angie Hobscheidt of Raleigh, SC, Renee` Hobscheidt of Omaha, NE, Connie (Robby) Meis of Omaha, NE, Julie Hobscheidt of Chicago, IL, Jay (Kim) Hobscheidt of Bellevue, NE, Corey (Brooke) Hobscheidt of Plattsmouth, NE, Heidi (Caleb) Keene of Union, NE, Summer (Brandon) Rieke of Papillion, NE, Jeremy (Laura) Stone of Nehawka, NE, Kelsey (Jon) Burggraff of Nehawka, NE, Great Grandchildren: Nick, T.J., Allysa, Jozlyn, Jude, Quinn, Carson, Crew, London, Lincoln, Morgan, Wyatt, Piper, and Madison. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Ralph & Rosine Meisinger; Husband: Henry D. Hobscheidt, Brothers, Gerald Meisinger and Kenny Meisinger and sister Shirley McArdle. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Father Loras Grell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 1 until 4 PM at the Harvey funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 5:00 P. M. at Church of the Holy Spirit followed by family greeting friends 6 until 8 P.M. Interment – Holy Sepulchre Cemetery – Plattsmouth Memorials to the family for future designation.
