Kevin Kent VanWinkle was born on May 3, 1960 in Genoa, Nebraska to George and Neola (Carter) VanWinkle. He passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska having obtained the age of 51 years. Kevin lived in the Ogallala area for many years and worked as an Equipment Operator for the Keith County Department of Roads. He is survived by his brothers and sister; Clinton (Sandra) VanWinkle of Beatrice, NE; Lee (Pam) VanWinkle of Silver Creek, NE; Scott (Kristine) VanWinkle of Chapel, NE; Neal (Kyle) VanWinkle of Plattsmouth, NE; Lyndon (Barb) VanWinkle of Silver Creek, NE; De Lois (Mark) Urkoski of Columbus, NE; Duane VanWinkle of Altadena, CA. Step-Daughter: Kayla Bloom and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek, NE with Rev. Murray Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery. Memorial may be directed to the VanWinkle family for future designation.
