Larry Lee Henry, age 84 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12th, 2025. Born on Monday, December 30th, 1940, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, to Marion J. and Margaret J. (Austin) Henry.

Larry graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1959 and soon began a  career with Western Electric, where he worked for an impressive 41 years. His commitment and expertise led him to the position of Quality Assurance Supervisor before he retired in 2000.   Larry married the love of his life, Cheryl K. Sullivan, on July 20, 1963, at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth. Their union was a testament to enduring love, and together they built a beautiful family and shared a lifetime of adventures. Larry and Cheryl could often be found on motorcycle trips exploring the United States.

In his retirement, he enjoyed working for his nephew, Jeff Henry, picking-up and delivering cars.  He was very social and loved striking up a conversation with friends especially his morning coffee group.   A dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, Larry was known for his active participation in church events and his willingness to lend a hand wherever needed. Larry was a family man at heart. He adored attending the various activities of his children and grandchildren and treasured the moments spent with them. Larry was a man of detail and precision, evident in his career and in his hobbies, including working on cars and collecting Vespas.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Henry of Plattsmouth, NE; his daughters, Angila (David) Sharp of Plattsmouth, NE, and Dawn (Craig) Ford of Lincoln, NE; and his grandchildren, Alan Jack (Abby) Sharp of Fremont, NE, Shelby (Darren) Lojo of Lincoln, NE, and Gabe (fiancé Maya McIntosh) Ford of Ames, IA,  sisters-in-law Betty Henry, Beverly (George) Ebersole, and Gail (Rob) Hackwith; brother-in-law Tom Sullivan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Marion & Margaret Henry; parents; brother, Norman Henry; sister, Mary Ann Smalley; brother-in-law, Fay Smalley; and sister-in-law, Della Sullivan.

A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, NE, on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, at 10:00 am.
