Laura C Ainsworth

Laura C. (Denton) Ainsworth, age 65 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, peacefully in her home with her dog Molly on her lap.

Laura was born in Evergreen Park, Chicago, Illinois on January 2, 1958, the daughter of Jack and Jeanine (Musson) Lovel.  She married Orville Miller on July 19, 1976, from this union they had two children, Jerry Lee Miller and Jack Russell Denton.  Laura then married Donovan Ainsworth on June 12, 2010.  Laura’s first husband preceded her in death on February 10, 2012.

Laura drove a school bus for over 15 years; she also enjoyed dressing up as Ms. Luka the clown and did that for several years before retiring.  Laura was a definite animal lover and enjoyed all of her facetime calls with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Donovan Ainsworth of Plattsmouth, NE, four siblings, sister, Linda (Terry) Jones of Scipio, IN, brother, Len (Debbie) Lovel of Tulsa, OK, sister Lee Ralph of Decatur, IL, sister Lavonne (Brad) Marshall of Mt. Zion, IL, two sons, Jerry Miller of Plattsmouth, NE, Jack (Jodi) Denton of Denham Springs, LA, one special son, Anthony Eicholtz of Decatur, IL, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Orville, brother-in-law, Kevin and her beloved pets Twinkles and Layla.

A family-led celebration of life will be held at a later date.
