Lavonne F. McCulloch age 84 of Plattsmouth was born September 9, 1930 to Edwin and Flora (Crider) Redden in Lincoln, NE. She passed away January 9, 2015 at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. She grew up in the Murray area and attended high school in Plattsmouth, NE. On November 10, 1995 she married LeRoy W. McCulloch. They enjoyed their blended families. Lavonne is survived by her husband, LeRoy McCulloch, Plattsmouth, NE, daughter, Vonnie Samus, Yuma, AZ, grandchildren, David Samus, Lincoln, NE; Amber Farley, Lincoln, NE, Anne Mathiesen, Harrisburg, SD, great-grandchildren, Bree & Seth Farley, Chole & Aliza Mathiesen, brothers, Tom Redden, Miami, FL; Dean Redden, Omaha, NE, sisters, Irma Ann Taylor, Salisbury, MD, Judy Scott, Salisbury, MD. Lavonne was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin & Flora Redden, step-son, William A. McCulloch, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Known to her grandchildren as Grandma Cake Cake she enjoyed cake decorating, art work, cooking, painting, bowling, dancing and especially her high heels and perfume. She was a wonderful homemaker and belonged to the Eagles Club and American Legion. Celebration of Life visitation will be Tuesday, January 13th from 5-8 PM with family greeting friends from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. NO SERVICES will be held.
