Lawanda J. Campbell

Lawanda J. Campbell of Bellevue, NE, formally of Plattsmouth, NE passed away July 25, 2011 in Bellevue, NE at the age of 88 years and 7 days. She was the daughter of Harry and Lois (Patterson) Hall. Lawanda was born July 18, 1923 in Ridgely, TN. Lawanda lived in Ridgely, TN until the age of 12 when she moved to Marsten, MO. She graduated from high school and attended college for 1 year. While living in Missouri she met and married Cedric Campbell on April 10, 1943 in New Madrid, MO. They moved to Clinton, IA where Cedric had found work for the Chicago Northwest railroad. Lawanda life was filled with providing a comfortable home for her family. She is survived by her children: Judy Asmus (Bob) of Urbandale, IA; Sandra Theisen (Bob) of Omaha, NE; and Joe Campbell (Ann) of Bellevue, NE; Sisters: Roberta Hayes of Marsten, MO; Betty Galbraith of Pasco, WA; Elizabeth Tompkins of Rock Island, TN and Brenda Kekahuna of Burbank, CA; Brothers: Charles Hall of Pasco, WA; Vern Hall of Riverside, CA. Grandchildren: Jane Gomez; Joann Mauk and Leigh Stamer, and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cedric (6/14/11); son Michael; brother Harry Hall and sister Oweda Campbell. Memorial Services are at 1:00 P.M. July 27, 2011 at the Living Water Church 1623 Chicago Ave., Plattsmouth, NE. There will be no Visitation due to cremation. Brian P.
