Leroy Charles Klinefelter, age 76, of Omaha, Nebraska. passed away on December 6, 2025 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on November 24, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska to Charles and Gertrude (Kroll) Klinefelter.
Leroy graduated from Omaha South High School in 1968 and briefly served his country in the United States Navy. He dedicated much of his professional life to Campbell Soup Company, where he served as a production manager. He was united in marriage to Sharon K. Kiser at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth on October 20th, 1984.
Throughout his life, Leroy enjoyed various pastimes, including playing slow-pitch softball in South Omaha and passionately supporting his favorite sports teams, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Chicago Cubs. He was also a valued member of the Eagles Club. Above all, Leroy cherished the time spent with his family, which remained the most important aspect of his life. His warmth, humor, and kindness will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Charlie (Becca) Klinefelter; grandchildren, Hunter (fiance Lendy Calderon) Mendes, Ashley (Gerado) Luna, Kimberlee Klinefelter, Makayla Klinefelter and Kiser Klinefelter, great granddaughter, Olivia Luna, sister, Nancy (Bob) Yechout; and his brother-in-law, Bob Kiser and friend Ellyn Meisinger. He is also survived by a neice and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon Klinefelter, granddaughter, Abigail Klinefelter and grandson Christopher Mendes.
Visitation will be held at Brian P. Harvey Funeral Home on December 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Rosary service will take place at the Church of the Holy Spirit on the same day at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on December 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father Sean Timmerman officiating. Please wear your favorite Husker, Cubs or Steelers apparel to honor Leroy.
Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
